NETBEUI Setup for Windows 2000/XP

This guide is for ClubSystems POS ONLY

Product: 911Software CreditLine

IF your POS uses NETBEUI (currently ClubSystems POS only) for communication with CreditLine, you need to follow the procedure below.
This procedure restores the default LANA settings for NETBEUI on Windows 2000/XP. It is necessary because NETBEUI is no longer supported by default on these operating systems.

Note: other means of communication, such as API and file based are also available if your POS supports it.

Before proceeding, make sure that NETBEUI is installed on the system. If not - install it.  Also, make sure that you have the latest version of CreditLine installed with lanacfg.exe in HSI\BIN folder

1. Start the command prompt and go to \hsi\bin directory
2. Run "lanacfg showlanapaths".
3. Write down the lana number that points to NETBEUI (let's call it X).
4. If the number is other than 0, then write down the protocol that has the lana number 0.
5. Run "lanacfg setlananumber 0 100" to move the protocol that has lana number 0 to 100.
6. Run "lanacfg x 0" to move NETBEUI from lana number x (from step 2) to 0.
7. Run "lanacfg rewritelanainfo" to save to the registry.
8. Run "lanacfg showlanapaths" to confirm the new setting: NETBEUI should be assigned to lana number 0.
